Fast Friday Facts

Howdy partners!  Staff and students have been having fun with our Student Council “Twelve Days of Christmas”.  Thank you for your continued support in this fun spirit building endeavor!  The next week promises to be filled with fun!  Please note the following:

This Sunday marks the Third Sunday of Advent.  We will light the pink “Joy” candle.

Monday Dec. 18- Our Student Council’s “Twelve Days of Christmas Contest” will celebrate “9 Ladies Dancing” with a fun “Just Dance Tournament” in the gym at lunch time.

Tuesday Dec. 19- Junior and Senior High Arts students will be off for a field trip to the Centre for Creative Arts in the morning.
    -“10 Lords a Leaping”- Student Council will host a fun and competitive Leap Frog competition at lunch time.

Wednesday Dec. 20- Subway hot lunch for those that ordered it.
    -School wide Pajama Day, just for fun!
    -“11 Pipers Piping”- Student Council will be hosting separate elementary and JH/SH Pickle Eating Contests

Thursday Dec. 21- Christmas Concert!  Students and Mrs. Layher have been working very hard preparing this year’s Christmas concert.  Students are asked to be in classrooms for 6:45pm sharp.  Parents are welcome into the gym at 7:00pm.  Parent Council will be running their annual fundraiser, raffling off amazing Christmas baskets!
    -“12 Drummers Drumming”- to wrap up of our “Twelve Days of Christmas” contest, Student Council will be holding a rhythm/ drumming contest for points.  The classroom with the most points at the end of this contest will win a pizza party!

Friday Dec. 22- Christmas Mass at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30am.  Mass will be followed by a school wide Christmas dinner in the gymnasium.  Thanks to all who have donated time and supplies for this family feast!  We are still looking for just a few donations.  Please contact the office if you’re able to provide a  turkey or 2 Large butters.

Mrs. Layher will be hosting an extra music practice for any students that are willing/ able to sing Christmas Carols on Christmas Eve at the church.  Please be sure to let her know if your student would like to participate.

Thank you for all who were able to donate to our “Smitten Tree”.  Our Social Justice Club is now asking for your help to help others!  They are collecting new toys, winter wear and gifts to deliver to the Hospital, Rotary House, and other local shelters.
