Fast Friday Facts


Thank you to all who came out for our Meet the Teacher BBQ last night, it was great to see so many new and returning faces!  Special thanks to G & R Insulating for loaning their giant “BBQ Shack” to us, and Mr. Redl and Mr. Hagen for running the grill.

As mentioned at last night’s assembly, we are looking for a parent representative for each classroom.  This volunteer may be asked to contact other parents, organize snacks for events or lend a hand when needed.  Please contact the office if you’re able to be a classroom rep, or if you have any questions.

Good luck to our Senior Boys Volleyball team who will be competing in the Big Red Volleyball tournament at GPRC today! 

Monday Sept. 18th we will be having our school wide Terry Fox run.  Be sure to send in a “Toonie for Terry” or other donation for the Terry Fox Foundation if possible.  All students should come prepared to enjoy fresh air during our walk/ run.

Monday Sept. 18th- School photo orders are due to the office.  Please note that any late orders will have to go directly to Watson’s Foto Source in Grande Prairie.

Monday Sept. 18th- FFSYS, our school Booster Group, will have their annual general meeting @ 6:30pm at the school.  Please feel welcome to come and see how you can help!

Tuesday Sept. 19th- International Pirate Day - Just for fun!  Students in grades 1-6 are encouraged to come dressed as a pirate or super hero (No weapons please).  The “Captain” (teacher) with the smallest crew (students in costume) will have to walk the plank!

Wednesday Sept. 20th- We will have our Opening Mass at the church at 11:00am.  Please come and join us!

Wednesday Sept. 20th- Town of Sexsmith Fall Exhibition, 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Sexsmith Civic Centre. This is not a school sanctioned event, but a great chance to hear about other opportunities in our community!

Thursday Sept. 21st- Last day for Senior High students to add or drop classes.  Please contact the office before this date if your student has any special requests.

 Friday Sept. 22nd- PD Day- NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS!
